Around the world

The village stands in the flat countryside close to the River Trent in Staffordshire in the middle of England. Traffic on the nearby A38 main road from Lichfield to Burton upon Trent roars past, but the village lies on the quieter A513 to Kings Bromley village.

The Trent and Mersey Canal makes its way through the village too.

There are a number of black and white thatched
cottages and to the north of the Church is a former cotton mill now developed for housing.

The village is a favourite visiting place for people spending their holiday on narrow-boats on the canals. It offers restaurants, pubs, fish and chip and Chinese takeaways - a butchers shop and  even has its own chocolate factory.
