Earth is the third planet away from the Sun. This is the only planet we know at the moment with life on it. Earth has only got one moon made out of rock and dust. Earth is ninety-three million miles away from the Sun. A year on Earth is three-hundred and sixty-five days approximately and a day is twenty-four hours, the time it takes to turn once on its axis. The diameter of Earth is 7926 miles. 71% of Earth is water, and the other 29% is land. 57° C is the hottest temperature recorded on Earth, and the coldest is -89° C. The tilt of the Earth on its axis gives us our four seasons.
