Osiris was the god of the underworld. He judged whether the dead could enter paradise. He wore a crown and held a crook and flail. Osiris was the first pharaoh. He married his sister, Isis, and they had a son called Horus. Osiris loved having banquets and he also introduced vines and grain. Seth, Osiris’ brother, tried on two occasions to kill him but he failed. Osiris came back to life again and became the first mummy. He then became Lord of the Underworld.
