APOLLO

Apollo was the sun god. He was one of the twelve Olympian gods. He was responsible for light, music, art, science and healing. He was often pictured holding a lyre (a harp-like musical instrument). He was also an archer and carried a bow and arrows. He was the twin brother of Artemis. He killed his mother's enemy, the serpent Python.
