ARTEMIS

Artemis (Roman name, Diana) was the moon goddess and the twin sister of Apollo. She was one of the twelve Olympians. She hunted in a chariot pulled by deer. She was protector animals, small children and pregnant women. She was usually pictured holding a silver bow. Her silver arrows could bring plague and death, though she could heal as well. She often had wild animals to accompany her.
