HERMES

Hermes (Roman name, Mercury) was the messenger to the gods and one of the twelve Olympians. He wore a winged helmet and sandals. He carried a wand called a caduceus. He was a naughty child and became the god of theives due to his stealing Apollo's cattle. He even stole Aphrodite's bra! He invented the lyre, the Greek alphabet, mathematics, astronomy and boxing.
