POSEIDON Poseidon (Roman name, Neptune) was the brother of Zeus and one of the Olympian gods. He drove a golden chariot drawn by white horses which were kept at his underwater palace. He carried a trident. He was god of the oceans and controlled waves and caused earthquakes. He was known as "earth-shaker". |
