Venus

The Earth's nearest planet is Venus, which has a hot, rocky surface and has poisonous clouds. Venus is the 2nd planet from the Sun. The first ever pictures of Venus were sent back from a Russian space probe named Venera 9. It takes 243 days to rotate on its axis and 225 days to orbit the sun. Venus is the brightest object which we can see in the sky after the Sun and Moon. The temperature on Venus   is 459° C. The diameter on the equator is 7521 miles. It has no natural satellites (moons).
