Ayers Rock

Hi there! Here I am at Ayers Rock is in Northern Territory of Australia. It’s perhaps the world's largest monolith, rising 1,110 feet (335m) above the surrounding desert plain. Ayers Rock is roughly an oval shape. The rock is impressive at sunset when its colour is turned a fiery orange-red by the sun's rays. The rock was named after a former South Australian premier Sir Henry Ayers but it is known as Uluru to the aborigines.
