Cape Town

Hi there! Here I am in Cape Town, South Africa. Cape Town is a major port and is a centre for tourism. The city has a Mediterranean-type climate, with warm, dry summers and cool, wet winters. There is an old castle in Cape Town built between 1666 and 1679. In the city centre you can find the Houses of Parliament and old mosques. Cape Town's city population in the 1991 census was 8.5 million. Table Mountain (1085 metres) dominates the city and is a great place from which to view it.
