Eiffel Tower

Hi there! Here I am by the Eiffel Tower. It is situated by the River Seine in Paris, France. It is named after the designer Alexandre Gustave Eiffel and was erected between 1887 and 1889 and completed in time for the exhibition celebrating the centenary of the French Revolution. Reaching 300 metres in height and weighing  9,441 tons it has over 15,000 parts held together with over 2.5 million rivets. It is a masterpiece of wrought iron technology.
