Children in Spain think of The Three Kings as the Christmas gift bearers. Tradition has it that they arrive on 6th January,   Epiphany, the day when we celebrate the Wise Men giving gifts to Jesus. Shoes are filled with straw for the tired camels who must carry their riders through the busy night. By morning the camel food is gone and the presents have arrived. It is the custom for three villagers to dress up as The Three Kings and pay a visit to a manger in the village square. The rest of the village people gather round to watch them pay homage to Jesus.
