Santa Claus is a magical man who dresses in a red cloak, black boots and red trousers. He is a fat, jolly man with a long white beard. The name Santa Claus came from the Dutch name Sinter Klass (St. Nicholas). Britain adopted the name and changed it to Santa Claus. His story got mixed up with that of Father Christmas and the two giftbringers are seen as the same person. Santa Claus has a reindeer, a sleigh and toys for children. Santa Claus lives in the North Pole and he visits children all over the world on Christmas Eve.
