Christmas at

The Hugo Meynell School

It's early December and the BROG puppet theatre comes once again to entertain the infants.

The "audience" seemed to enjoy themselves!

The Christmas tree in the foyer had to be decorated of course.

The infants did a good job didn't they!

The teachers helped to put up the decorations too.

Miss Jenkinson and Mrs Cowley make a Nativity scene.

Mr Poulter risks his life putting up the big mobiles in the hall!

Year 5 did an assembly on the theme of "Advent" and included the legend of St. Nicholas.

They also read some funny poems about Santa Claus.

Next it was the Christmas Fayre. Another big success.

Of course Santa turned up as usual. He brought one of his helpers with him.

Next it was on to the infant's Christmas production.

There seemed to be a lot of stars around.

There was one big one called "The Gigantic Star" - the title of the production.

It was the star that lead the Wise Men to Bethlehem and hung over the stable.

Feeding time at the zoo? No! It's the Christmas dinner!

Our dinner ladies dressed appropriately for the occasion!

Next it was the Christmas parties.

Here Year 5 and 6 are tucking in.

Our end of term "Thank You" Assembly. Our musicians gave us a treat.

Mr Robinson came in to say "Goodbye" as, sadly, he's leaving us.
