Christmas in China

"Sheng Dan Kuai Le"
In China they call the Christmas tree the "tree of life". Christians in China celebrate by lighting their houses with beautiful paper lanterns and decorating their Christmas trees with paper chains, flowers and lanterns. On Christmas Eve there is a lantern parade.

The Chinese children hang up muslin stockings on Christmas Eve and wait for a visit from their Santa Claus figure called Lan khoong (nice old father) or Dun Che Loa Ren (Christmas old man).
