AAIA

Welcome to the home page of the Association of Assessment Inspectors and Advisers. AAIA is the association for all those with a professional interest in assessment, recording and reporting.

Schools will currently be engaged in setting targets, particularly for the end of Key Stages 2 & 4. Click here for a checklist about Using Assessment Information for School Improvement.

Baseline assessment became a requirement in September 1998. An AAIA publication sets out the sorts of things which schools might look for in a baseline scheme. The leaflet is available through members. You can see it by clicking here: Baseline Assessment.

AAIA has published a pamphlet called "Teacher Assessment in Action" this is available through members or you can see it here: Teacher Assessment in Action. This pamphlet has been updated and is part of the guidance for trainers that can be downloaded from the DFEE site.

Teacher Assessment at Key Stage 2 - Guidance for Trainers was published by the DFEE in conjunction with AAIA.
