Getting here by road
If approaching from the North, West or South, follow the signs along the Oxford Ring Road to the roundabout in Headington where the A40 leaves in the direction of the M40 and London. If approaching from the East along the A40, this roundabout is the first one encountered outside Oxford. At the roundabout, take the local exit signposted to Headington and Oxford city centre. Turn left at the main traffic lights in Headington (among the shops) into Windmill Road. The Centre is about 500 metres down Windmill Road on the right hand side.

Wheelchair users may park without charge outside the Centre. For all other visitors arriving by car, there are a limited number of Pay and Display spaces within the grounds of the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre. An alternative option is the Thornhill Park and Ride bus service (allow an extra 20 minutes) which runs from a terminus on the A40 just outside Headington and the Ring Road.

Getting here by rail
Journey time from London Paddington to Oxford (usually a direct service) is approximately 1 hour. Taxis are available outside Oxford Station or you can catch a No 22 bus (runs every 5 and 35 minutes past the hour), or walk (5-10 minutes) from the station to the City Centre and get a No 2, 2A or 7 bus to Headington from Queen Street. The bus to Aylesbury (No 280) also runs from the station to Headington. See the location map (44k) for the location of the bus stops in Headington.

Getting here by coach
Frequent services run from London Victoria (Oxford CityLink 190 or Oxford Tube 100). Ask for the Headington stop. Coaches from Heathrow and Gatwick airports (X70) also stop here. See the location map (44k) for the location of the bus stops in Headington. Walk back toward the traffic lights and turn right down Windmill Road. Other coaches usually terminate at Gloucester Green Coach Station in the City Centre. Taxis are available here, or local buses to Headington (No 2, 2A or 7) can be found in Queens Street or High Street, a 3-4 minute walk away. Ask for the Headington Post Office stop. The City Circular routes 10 and 10A stop outside the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre.
