Three simple yet educational pieces of classroom equipment - a clock, abacus and number line - have been simulated here and bundled together on one disk. Users of AccessMaths will already be familiar with these activities as they are an integral part of the program, but we are now pleased to be able to offer them as keyboard operated stand-alone units with their own printing facilities.

Clock This re-creation of a classroom teaching clock has a number of features that a real one hasn't. The clock can be moved forwards or backwards in a number of adjustable steps and can be geared or ungeared. You can change the colour of the hands and chose whether or not the clock face has markings in 12 or 24 hour mode. There's a digital clock that you can display alongside the analogue one. You can, of course, display the real time at the touch of a button. Abacus The abacus activity can be set up to show up to ten rows of beads, each containing up to ten beads. There are two modes of use for easy access - mouse only and keyboard/mouse - and the program features a key delay that is useful if the user has a tremor and is likely to hold a key down too long. Number Line Displays the simple number line that is so popular for learning to add and subtract. The line can have up to 25 divisions in a range of units between -150 and +150, making it suitable for learning multiplication, too.
