Scan of a book with symbols added
Description
This project will provide a "DIY kit" to enable teachers and parents of severely disabled switch users to create electronic versions of their favourite picture and early reading books. The "DIY kit" will teach users how to scan books into a computer and then adapt them by adding switch interfacing, sounds, voices and symbols. At the simplest level the scanned books will have a simple (one or two) switch operated page-turner and voice over. The project involves collaboration with a number of parents and schools (for example, The Grove School and Meldreth Manor).
