This car came about as part of a search for something cheap to run and fun to use, run
of the mill boring cars were out of the question, so after a great deal of looking
around the Fiat Cinquecento Sporting seemed the perfect answer to what suited
my situation best at that time. It did well over 40 miles on every gallon and could also achieve nearly 120mph (on a very long downhill runway with a following
wind etc etc) although I would'nt suggest you try it however.
I discovered the Cinq had a much larger following than most would imagine, and as part of my subsequent website to cover the car I met up with many other enthusiastic owners of this cheeky little car. Another reason for having a Sporting was the amount of tuning accessories available for the car, I immediately added lowered springs and a strut brace when I first got the car. I eventually removed all this gear though, realising that the car was perhaps most fun in standard form, modifications showing up shortcomings leading to more mods etc, etc.
The obligatory I.C.E. install returned with a vengance, featuring a Pioneer KEH8600
Headunit, 200watt Sony 6X9's in the back shelf, Kenwood custom fit speakers
(with a little help from me) in the dashboard mountings. The system suited the car very well indeed and gave the car big car feel with the quality of sound available.
