Car number Twentytwo.

Car 22 came about quite by accident.... I had arranged to trade the Cinquecento Sporting in against a Japanese Import MR2 Turbo which I did own for a day (but found so many things wrong with it in that day) I decided to take it back and as the garage had sold my old car already I bought a '93 'K'plate BMW 318iS Coupe instead. Initially the car was very dirty (inside and out) having apparently not been cared for or used very much by its previous owner but after a hard days work cleaning the paintwork and interior, the car became a great deal more presentable and habitable. Also required were 4 new tyres (205/60/15's), these were duly purchased from Headley Tyres near Newbury (the best place for competitively priced tyres in the west berks area), I also discovered that although the car had a full BMW service history the car's last service had been with a lesser garage in Reading meaning the Service 2 66,000mile check over had been missed which meant a visit to the dealers to keep the service book clean and restore peace of mind. I had never considered BMW as a make of car I would ever own but having now owned one I have to say that it is the best car I have ever owned, even though the car eventually had 93 thousand miles on the clock it still drove just like it was new and showed every promise of doing so for years to come. The ICE install came in the form of the Pioneer KEH 8600 (which I removed from the last car before selling) and installation was made ultra-easy by a Din wiring adapter from Halfords which allowed me to just plug-in to the BMW wiring loom with no fuss or messing around at all, the standard speakers have been retained as the sound output is more than adequate (perhaps showing how good the original install was !). This car was owned for about 20 months when I decided to sell it privately to fund my next project !
