Car 28 was a car or perhaps more correctly a brand which I had wanted a car from for a very long time, after the Fireblade I wanted something a little more sedate so I looked at and tested loads of cars but kept coming back to wanting a Lotus Elise so I looked at many of these (mostly S1's) but all were either cosmetically poor or mechanically rough and some were both ! eventually I looked at an S2 (which looks more modern styling wise) which was pretty good both bodily and mechanically and bought it.
This was where the problems started, almost straight away I found the radiator fan was faulty to replace this the front clam bodywork section needs to be removed which I did, on exposing the rad I found the radiator end caps were leaking meaning a new rad was required and also new hoses. So 4 weeks, £500 worth of bits, a lot of swearing and a bad back, I had a car which I could drive again. Unfortunately it did'nt end there though as I found that the directness of the suspension and the lack of padding in the seats gave me back trouble, drive the car for 2 days and 5 days of back trouble followed, I thought of changing the seats but decided that it was easier and cheaper to flog it on and buy something else, so sadly I did, after only 2 months of ownership.
