Car 29 was a car to replace the Passat, after over 40,000 miles of usage and now with 155,000 on the clock the time had come to wave it goodbye but what to replace it with ? a question which took some answering, firstly I needed something not quite so large so I tried so really small sporty cars like the Fiat Panda 100hp and the New Mini but they proved to be just too small inside, I considered another Passat but the right car (with all the toys on) was'nt for sale. After a bit of a rethink I decided to buy a VW Golf with the same engine as the Passat but a bit more power, so the fetchingly titled Volkswagen Golf GTI PD TDI 150 was purchased.
A nice second hand car with low miles was found in Autotrader less than 5 miles from where I live and will be my daily driver for the next three or more years.
