AutoItalia '99.

A few pictures taken during the Italian car weekend at the Brooklands Museum, mostly Cinquecento/Seicento but a few others have been added for good measure.

Pics from Saturday.

Three cars in a line made by a well known manufacturer of Italian Agricultural machinery !
Some exotic machinery lined up to go out onto the test track.

Cinq's ahoy
Cinq drivers in the makeshift paddock area before going out onto the Test Track.

High speed action
This car was caught by the one behind after a couple of laps. (poor picture quality)

Cornering hard
A graphic display of how much body roll these cars can achieve !

Acceleration
Two cars close together accelerating away from the hairpin.

Cornering Hard 2
The same two cars on the following lap rounding the hairpin.

Several Tipo 16v's on the Members Banking I met up (quite by accident) with John Lee who runs a Website all about the Tipo 16 Valve or "Sedicivalvole". I had previously only known of him from emailings I had received whilst I was running my own Tipo 16v site 2 years or so ago, it was pleasure to meet him and all of his Tipo owning followers, and also a pleasure to follow their convoy part of the way round the M25 on the way home with many bemused motorists somewhat suprised to see so many 16v's moving in one group together ! (quite a sight).
A gathering of Sedicivalvole owners
A view of all the Tipo Owners taken from high up on the banking.

Pics from Sunday.

Quite a line-up
On the Sunday some 20+ Cinquecento and Seicento owners congregated in one area.

Queueing for the Test Track
Following the action on the test track the previous day a large number of cars went out on the first session on Sunday morning.... including me.

Queueing for the Test Track 1
As you can see by the following pictures a fair queue had built up !

Queueing for the Test Track 2
Another queue pic.

Queueing for the Test Track 3
Yet another queue pic.

A Novitec Sporting
The innocent exterior of this car is somewhat misleading as beneath the bonnet hides a 100 horsepower Turbo engine.... beware !
