Offering up to a 10% power increase these are one of the easiest ways to give your car a small power increase. Most manufacturers offer replacement panel filters which fit the existing filter/induction housing these will give enhanced filtration and flow over the standard paper item but for an ultimate increase in induction airflow an "Induction kit" is a must, these come complete with replacement trunking to replace the standard airbox fitted by the manufacturer thus dispensing with all the small intake trunking and placing the air filter in a position where cool, fresh air is abundant. As with exhausts this modification has its price and can give a major increase in induction noise which the manufacturer worked long and hard to eliminate with the standard if somewhat restrictive item.
