Suspension

The best way to make your car handle better is to lower the ride height thus lowering the centre of gravity. Also fitting uprated dampers will give better control of the rebound action of the springs. There are many many kits available all very much the same, from personal experience it is not good to lower cars too far as you will be riding around on the bump stops all the time and spending most of your time re-attaching your performance exhaust system to the car as it will not clear many of the modern traffic calming measures deployed on 90's roads, it would seem that this is reflected by many of the kit manufactrers, as you see most are around -20 to -25mm ride height this is not to be ignored, however it would appear that Jamex are about to launch a range of Ultra-Low kits for those who can't resist "slamming" it on the deck and making places such as Multi-Storey car parks and Traffic Calmed urban areas totally inaccessible to cars fitted with same (quite how low Ultra-Low means on a Cinquecento is unclear, but -60mm is promised on many cars in this range and in some cases -80mm !!!). Another often overlooked suspension component which can be uprated is the anti-roll bar many of the manufacturers in this section produce them but do not list them so direct contact may be the only way to get hold of one.
