'The Wild West' was the theme for the 19th Annual Bielefeld International Indoor Trial held in Northern Germany last week-end, featuring 12 international riders competing in front of 5,000 very vocal spectators. Despite this being his first adult indoor competition, Alexz Wigg (2006 Youth World Trials Champion) had a steady ride on his JST 300 Gas Gas, dropping 6 marks to qualify in 3rd place behind Extreme Trials' Dan Clark (Montesa) on 4 marks, Czech TTT Beta rider Martin Kroustek (5) and one in front of Sherco mounted Finn Henri Himmanen(7).The final started with a race, which Alexz lost and consequently he was first out to ride the sections in reverse. However he managed a superb lap of 6 marks, losing 3 on observation, 2 on time and 1 for the initial race. This was matched by Kroustek, which resulted in a race off to decide the tie and Alexz won convincingly to top the podium. Third was Clarky, who had cleaned the first four sections, but fived the last three obstacles to finish on 15, six less than Himmanen.

Qualifying: Dan Clark (4); Martin Kroustek (5); Alexz Wigg (6); Henri Himmanen (7).

Final: Wigg (6); Kroustek (7); Clark (15); Himmanen (21)
