Stuart wins the Easter Egg......
Round 3 of the North Berks club championship took place on Easter Day at The
Moors, East Hagbourne.
42 entries arrived to tackle the 8 section, 4 lap course on old cress beds, a popular venue that had been used by the club for many years.
The expert class was won by Stu Robinson, 10 marks behind was Will McBain and in 3rd place David Pratt.
In the 50/50 route Liam Thomas took the top spot from John Probitts, in 3rd was Joe Bayliss.
Clubman B class, riding the middle route, on his immaculate twin shock Montesa was Mark Stokes from Newbury, from James Fletcher followed by Simon Dowling.
Clubman C, the evergreen of motor cycle trials, Kevin McCullagh, loosing 18 marks, next Mark Jackson loosing 36 and in 3rd place Richard Gardiner.
On the easier course, Clubman D was dominated by the 3 Edwards brothers who had travelled down from Barnet, the winner being Lesley, from Mick, from Rob.
Youth A riding the hard route was a tremendous win again for young Bradley Cox beating 2nd place Ros Fletcher by 40 marks, and in 3rd place was Ros's brother Jordan.
The Youth B class was won by Neil Dodd from Carl Shirley, 3rd place Alex Muirhead. The winner of Youth C was Thomas O'Sullivan, from David Hornblow, whose grandfather was competitions secretary of the club some 65 years ago and was still running around on Sunday minding for his grandson, 3rd was Adam Thomas.
Youth D class on the easy route was a win for Alec Resek, who didn't loose a mark all day, from 2nd place Alicia Robinson, the only girl in the trial, 3rd was Jack French.
The weather was chilly and damp, many thanks to all those who prepared and marshalled at the event. The two marshalls prizes were won by Justin Heavens and Jim Axford.
Next round of the club championship will be on 27/28 June,
the 2-day weekend.
