Mayim was born on the 12 December 1975 in San Diego, CA. Mayim started acting when she was 11. Her first role was in a horror movie "Pumpkinhead", this was followed by different roles in TV. Her roles included appearences in "Webster", "MacGyver" and "EmptyNest." Her first well know and often mistaken for her first ever appearence was in the film "Beaches" where she sung a song called "The Glory of Love". After that Mayim ended up starring in the title role of a new sitcom called "Blossom". This is certainly her best know role, outside america at least. In "Blossom", Mayim plays a bubbly high school girl called... well "Blossom" unsurprisingly. She's very morally conscious, very bright and intelligent, good at school and supposidly responsible. But Mayim refers to Blossom as the cheerleader type. Off the set she is referred to by people who know her as being very intelligent, generous, aware and modest - a remarkable person.
