Ashley Primary School is a large primary school in South Shields with 470 pupils. It has four
departments: the nursery, infants, juniors and the diagnostic and
assessment centre.  It opened in  January 1971. Our school is semi-open plan, as much as we have
classrooms without doors.

We believe we are a friendly and welcoming school and we have strong links to  the local community and business. We have been supported by various organisations  including Northumbria Water, Toyota, Marks and Spencer, WH Smiths and many others.
