World Religions
The World Religions course forms an integral part of the College's programme of promoting international understanding. Students are given an exciting opportunity to study the world's major faith traditions and their impact upon the lives, attitudes and values of the various communities of believers.

The course was developed by Atlantic College with the help of renowned scholars in the fields of Religious Studies and Theology. The framework of study is rigorously academic, yet uniquely balanced to ensure both objectivity (thereby avoiding any confusion with a doctrinal, confessional study), but also a sensitive insight into the living impact of a faith on its adherents. Students are given a brief introduction to eight or nine major Religions before they collectively select three of those traditions to study in depth. A 50% weighting towards guided coursework allows a great deal of individual freedom in chosen areas for study. This is a stimulating humanities course offering a unique chance for students to both broaden and deepen their understanding of the wealth of spiritual traditions that continue to guide and motivate humanity.
