Here is some environmental art in the style of the artist. These pictures were all constructed in natural materials found in the school grounds. Andy Goldsworthy only uses natural materials which must be dead or have fallen from the plant. As you can see, the children had great fun making all kinds of things, such as a snail and a bird's nest, complete with bird!

As part of Year 4s geography topic this year, we made a study of the local river, the Anton. In past years we have been able to go further afield, but the foot and mouth crisis stopped us leaving the local area for our studies. Here are some pictures of the river.

Year 5's topics have been the Victorians, Ancient Greece and Environmental Change
Here are some of the photographs they have been studying in the environmental Change topic. As you can see there is a new housing estate being built near the school. The last photograph is a view of the nearby site where the local secondary school is being built. It is expected to open to pupils in September 2002. All of these photographs were taken by year 5 children using a digital camera.
