26th - 29th January 1999

Dear Clerkhill

Well we had quite a variety of weather this week again. It was a beautiful day for the walk up Craigendarroch and the following day it turned out to be very cold in the morning and a little wetter in the afternoon. The weather group certainly got it right on that day.

One thing's for sure, if Mr Taylor says it's not going to rain, make sure you put on your waterproofs!

Craigendarroch It was a beautiful day when we went up Craigendarroch. This photo doesn't really capture how nice it was.

"Oh look Mr Taylor", said Lauren. "Some fresh animal droppings.. and they're still warm!" What's this?

A little poem by the Weather Group

I would be singing in the rain, in the rain.
But there is no rain
It's drier here today
Than it was yesterday
I was sitting on my swing
When I heard a little ring
The Met office phoned to say
You won't need your waterproofs today
As it is a beautiful day today.

The Photo Gallery

Just a blur
Here we have that famous pop group... BLUR... oh no it's not. The girls have nust been moving too quickly for the camera.
Wet and wild
The toilets seem to have sprung a leak and here is one of the intrepid Clerkhill pupils venturing deep into the bowels of the cistern... if you'll pardon the expression.
Lining up for the showerSmiles all round as the latest batch of pupils to venture into the unknown depths of Burn o' Vat return unscathed and very relieved. We're ready Unsuspecting, the children of Clerkhill wave happily at the camera. Little do they know what lies in store for them. Was the smile wiped off their faces? You'll have to ask them to find out!
Artists at work
Please Mr Taylor, why have you made us all paint pictures of the German flag?
More artists at work
Don't listen to him Mr Taylor. We're not doing that at this table.
Even more artists at work
Well, I'm busy painting a sunset... I don't know what you're up to!
Children and a ... rock?
Here, the children are standing behind a large grey rock... Oh no it's not. It's a camera shy child wearing a large grey, woolly hat.

Well, I suppose that's that. I know we have another group of pupils from Clerkhill next week and if they're as good as this bunch has been it will be great. Only time will tell.

Thanks to you all for an excellent week.
