Dear Cornhill People

Just a little note to say thank you for an excellent week. The weather was pretty kind to us and I think you all enjoyed yourselves. My staff enjoyed your company and your enthusiasm... not to mention your creativity, both in the morning presentations and in the art session on Wednesday night. Most excellent Dudes!

In the history of the web page, this is the first time that Beecy has moved . However, there's no sense in getting in a flapabout it... instead, let's have a look at the pictures below.
Boy's posing for the camera "If we're not going to any work, then we'll just pose for the camera," said Ryan and Sean. Amy... camera shy? Amy Wang... camera shy! Just as this photograph was taken Amy put her head forward and her hair covered her face. Meanwhile both Stephen and Natalie try to look as if they're hard at work.
Martin leans forward to make sure he is directly in line with the lens... well done it worked! Is that a camera Mrs Liddell? It looks as if Paul isn't too keen on Mrs Thain's perfume. I'm sure it's not that bad Paul!! Mrs Thain in her red outfit
Booklet or folder? Here's Aimin trying to look as if he's working. Yeh right ! One hard at work. Two looking at camera Whereas Lana isn't pretending to work at all. She is just gazing as if mesmerised nto the lens of the camera. Paula, meanwhile, is oblivious to the fact that there's a photo being taken... because she is so busy!
Yes boys... it's a yellow tote tray full of things! No it's not alive! {short description of image} Caught in a moment of creativity, the girls practise their dancing. {short description of image}
In the dark At first the children were in the dark... and then... Much lighter! ... they became enlightened. They have been very good environmental stewards this week. Long may it continue!
Amy gets to know a telegraph pole. Getting to know a telegraph pole! Stewart kneels to pay homage to a standing stone... well a piece of concrete with writing on it actually. He's busy with a texture rubbing. Paying homage to a stone!
On Wednesday morning the electricity group, who called themselves the Lynx Effect, wrote a little poem to tell the rest of the class how much electricity we've used.
115 KWH of electricity
That's the answer that we got
Electricity is the word we need
Computers, and T.V.
Radios and toasters
Kettles and stereos

They all need electricity

Because they all have the ability.... Dude!

Dance lessons from Frances
The electricity group, as seen above, and as led by the artist formerly known as Froggo, presented the electricity as a parody of 'Tragedy'... or was it a tragic parody... Very good gang. First night nerves saw to it that the final rehearsal was a little better than the performance. Obviously we can't show you the actual performance, but you can read the words below. Well done again!
Tragedy
When the clouds are black and you don't know why
It's a tragedy
We think it's going to rain
It's hard to do our work when we are all wet and feeling so sad
Tragedy
Tragedy
Next we had some art work and I can tell you that a lot of people put a great deal of effort into their work. Unfortunately we can't include of all of them.. and some people spent such a long time on their drawings that they still hadn't finished them, even on Friday when it was time to go home. Excellent work though... everybody! Below you'll find some of the ones which had finished and one which wasn't. Enjoy!
Jason's hands Here's Jason's. After a sticky start he went on to produce this really good looking picture. Frankie's Hands The artist formerly known as Froggo, among other things, also had rather a sticky start, but came up with this which I think is excellent!
Lori produced this really great piece of work. The combination of colours is wonderful! Lori's hands ...and what about Amy Wang's? This little image can't convey just how much work has gone into this drawing. It's magnificent! Well done Amy! Amy Wang's hands
Paul's hands Paul has used some vibrant colours for his drawing. Stunning!
We have one last photo just to round off the page.
A lovely smile from Lori
Here's a picture of Lori, whose lovely smile sums up the whole week. Thank you very much for the excellent time had by all. Do come back soon.
Best wishes
