Dear All

I hope you all enjoyed your visit to the Centre... The weather was very kind to us at the beginning of the week and a little bit wetter towards the. However it did not stop us going out. We just popped on our waterproofs and off we went. As I said hope you had a good time... Now let's see what's been happening.

Three children and a plant Well the week started with everyone getting some fresh air and some exercise. Here we are half way up Craigendarroch! Several children and a rock Here we found a rock with some very interesting stuff on it. Ask us about it please, we'd be glad to share our experience.
At the top at last... and a well earned rest. Well done everyone! Many children - Many rocks Well rested we start our descent where we found... In the shade of the Banwan tree
Ants - a - plenty ... and ant hill. It looked as if the ground was moving there were so many ants. Danger, Claire at work Look Mr Taylor... I'm busy working, so just go point that camera at someone else.... Please!
Do you think this is a tree Linzi? Dawna and the tree puzzle I don't know... what do you think Mr Taylor? Linzi and the question
Boys happy at their work Look boys... stop enjoying yourselves and pretend to be working! .... and working harder That's better!
Georgina, sat under a tree, busy working on her tree study. Georgina under a tree What do you think is down this great big hole? Dawna looking into the camera
Dawna and Linzi meeting a tree I don't know but I don't want to look! Marie pretending to be working I can't believe this... yet another person pretending to be hard at work. Looks good Marie!
I think she's 25 metres tall... No she's only 1.45 metres tall. But how long is her hair? How tall is Zara? I think Zara is a little shell shocked after the experience of having her height examined. How dazed is Zara?

...and now some poems...

Ten Top Tips
Ten Top Tips to save power
Take a nice short shower
Make sure your fridge and toaster are full
Switch off radiators at night to be cool
Be bright and switch off the radio and TV
Then save the next three
Switch off gameboys, computers and OHP
The lights too
Then you're as smart as can be!
Saving Water
Have a short shower
Not for hours
Fill the sink only half full
Don't turn it into a swimming pool
Don't leave the tap running when having a drink
Or you might overflow the sink
Brush your teeth with a splash
Only give the toilet a short flush
Use less water in a water machine
Then everyone will know what you mean
Have a shower at morning or night
Or you will give the neighbours a fright
Only fill half a jug
Re-use water from a tub

('Not for drinking I hope!' says Beecy)

Just before you go have a look at the artwork winners from this week's session. All the pictures were very good but there always has to be a winner (or two)... so here they are.

Laura's Hands Here's Laura's handwork.. really cool! JJay's hands This 'hand drawn' effort is by J Jay. This was a favourite of Mr Taylor's from the very start.
Zara's hands are really rather stunning... don't you think? Zara P.'s hands Last of all we have Paula's hands which are also rather neat. Paula's hands

Well done everyone. You all did really well. They were all rather good!

Well Folks

That's it for another week. Hope you enjoyed yourselves. Try and remember all the things we told you and try to put at least some of them into practice. Look after yourselves.
