Well Gang

Although there was some snow on the ground we were delighted to see you rolling up in your bus... even though, I believe, it backed into a wall on the way up School Lane... oops! Well the week went very well, with lots of smiling faces and some really nice, if cold, weather. One day there was snow and the next there was none.... so cold one day and then much warmer the next. You will see evidence of this from the photos below.

Claire's a happy person! Honest Mr Taylor, the little water sprite I saw inside the waterfall must have been at least this size!
Darren seems to have fallen asleep... Is the teacher really that boring and what is so interesting and so far away that the rest of the group have to look at it through binoculars? Darren having a little snooze.
Ah! But Mr Taylor! Now look here Mr Taylor... I think that, now I've woken up, we should get on with the rest of the trip.
Was it really this rainy at Ballater? Well, the answer is no... but you'll have to ask the people in that particular group just what is going on. Well that's the rain on!

Well not only were we busy being out and about but we also spent some time in the Lab... Classroom to you. Here we did some work, had an art lesson and made up some poems.
In the pictures below you can see a small selection of art work started on Wednesday. They were all very good. Well done to everybody!
Diane's left hand
Diane took a long time to finish this... but it was worth it.
Sarah Q.'s right hand
Sarah Q has made a really good job of this too. This is one of my favourites.

Scott put an incredible amount of work into this. Well done.

Andrew's also produced something really great.
Before we sign off here's a few more pictures taken over the week. Hope they bring back some happy memories.
Here we have the Great Ballater Snow Snake out for the afternoon. The great long snow snake Three little monkeys looking as if they are working... in fact they are working very hard! Three monkeys in the village
Peter and Scott Peter and Scott looking happy and all ready for a hard day's work. A little camera shy? Oh how sweet! Someone who is a little camera shy.
You can just see the end of Mr Taylor's nose as he checks up on these two hardworking individuals. Two little monkeys out in the village Here are Mrs Muir and Mrs Glendinning pretending to work... when we all know that they were up here on a holiday. Teachers pretending to work
Self portrait Last of all, in this collection of photos,we have Mr Taylor showing how it's possible to take a self portrait with the digital camera... Sad!

Next we have a little piece of writing.
Each morning we have a look at the weather and the amount of electricity and water we have used. One day one of the groups wrote this poem about the electricity.
We saved Electricity
Electricity we saved
Beecy will be proud of us
Now that we have got it sussed
Saving electricity
Never knew it could be fun for me
We'll save electricity
When we're back in our city
YEH!

Finally, just me, Beecy, saying goodbye and thank you all again for a good week. Take care of yourselves ... and remember all the things you learned about looking after the planet.
