Dear Newhills

The week's weather started off really fine. I mean who would have thought that we could have been down in the picnic area in our shirt sleeves. Yes, it really was that warm! The weather changed on Thursday, however, and it was very close to being snow. It was very cold and a little wet. Didn't stop us going out though, did it? It would take more than a little weather to stop us!

A poser Claire's posing for the camera... sad isn't it? Two girls hard at work Here are Kirsten and Kimberley hard at work under the trees.
I have no idea what Kirsten was thinking about here... have you? Answers on a postcard please. Kirsten... posing? Smile Lana... no you have to take the camera down from your face... silly! Oh you are smiling... If you look closely you can see Lana's teeth! Smile Lana!
What next? I'm not sure that Natalie's sure what she has to do next!! Rachel looking thoughtful Could Rachel be deep in thought? Or could she be looking over tonight's menu? After all Robbie's food is good!
Remember we asked you take a clipboard Lana? Why do you think that was? Where's your clipboard? Martyn has been caught working... no wonder he looks surprised! Martyn's working!
How tall? Well James, I think we probably will have a suit to fit you... however I do believe, from my measurements, you will have to grow into it. But why is it so hairy? Well... can you guess what this group have found so interesting? You'll have to ask them to find out.
As usual, during the week, the electricity, water and weather groups presented their findings to the rest of the class. It has to be said that this week's presentations must rank in the top five of all time. Excellent work!. Unfortunately we only have one of the poems recorded this week... that of the water group, who sang the poem below to the tune of Waterloo, by Abba. Brilliant!
Water Used
4139 that we used
Water used
we used less than yesterday
Drink it, wash with it
Every day
Use it up, you waste the water that we need
Calm it down
Share so there will be no greed
Water, water, water, water
Water used
This is the water that we have used
Newsflash: Elvis used too much water!
Well gang...
Thank you very much for a most excellent week! As I said at the beginning, the weather was quite mixed, but on the whole it was really quite good. Hope you enjoyed yourselves. Take care of yourselves and the environment
best wishes
