Fishermoss and Luthermuir Primary Schools

8th - 11th June 1999

Dear Fishermoss and Luthermuir people

It's been very nice having you at the Centre. I hope that the week has been both enjoyable and informative for you. I hope also that you've had fun, been good and partied on down in an environmental stewardship sort of way.

Pictures and poems.....

Intrepid mountaineers Well, conquering the western slopes of Craiendarroch is tiring work... we deserve a rest. Two girls and some cadis fly larva Do you really think there is life in this dish...?
Energy Rap

Energy, Energy
We use too much energy
CD players make us groove
Computers make our fingers move
The fridge is full of tasty treats
TV gives us some Sesame Street (Big Bird!)
Telephone keeps us close to friends
The chit chat never ever ends
So if you've listened up to us
You'll know what electricity does
Energy, energy, energy, energy....
Energy
William Tell Grant here is re-enacting a scene from that famous tale of William Tell... Short on props though... No apple! Oh dear... what's happened? Katie looks as if she might just have had a wee accident... if you know what I mean!
Let me tell you this Lesley! Ashley giving Lesley what for It's the lesser spotted Laurie bird, spotted in the undergrowth brandishing a magnifying glass. In the undergrowth
Gone filming Hot on the tail of the Lesser spotted Laurie bird is The Rogerson... hunting down her prey and showing no mercy to those who step in front of her camera. Gone fishing Look... I'm busy trying to catch some fish for my tea. Go away... you're scaring them!
Look this is supposed to be a pond study... not a tree study Scott. Pond study? Daryl and Stewart seem to have had a bit of a fall out as they don't appear to be speaking to each other. Once friends
El-ec-tric-it-y
Electricity you can use
In a plug you'll find a fuse
You'll find it everywhere
Especially in your static hair
The oven heats food day and night
To keep you feeling fit and bright
If you fancy a cup of tea
Put the kettle for you and me
But of course there's danger too
Listen up and we'll tell you
Pylons they are high in the sky
Fly your kite and you could die

Stick your finger the plug?
I'd rather eat a bug!!

Be Safe and be Aware
Electricity is Everywhere
A group of fishers Do try and stay awake while Mr McDonald's speaking to you girls... no more midnight shenanigans! More of the same Notice Katie trying to escape the roving camera person... sorry but it didn't work!
...and the pond monster was this big! Describing the pond monster No... I'm not going to drink it! Drink me!
Down to work Well let's just roll our sleeves up and get stuck in there! Lucky dip Where do you think the lucky penny is hidden? All there seems to be in here are cadis fly larvae!
A beautiful day at Loch Muick. This was the group which had the best weather by the Loch! Happy ramblers
Before the final word from Beecy let's have a look at one more poem... this time about
Water
We used 6112 litres yesterday
There''s no one to stop us
We go all the way
Water
When the taps are on
The water's gone
Water
Have a shorter shower
And not an hour
We need to save it
So let's not waste it
It's flowing away
Water
It's up to you
There's lots you can do
So turn off the taps
And turn off the showers
Don't let it DRIP, DRIP AWAY
WATER

Well Gang

It's the end of the week and I must say that all of my staff have been most impressed with the way you have handled yourselves this week. You have proved yourselves to be polite, responsible and hard working. Thank you for that. It makes my staff's job so much easier.

Take care, keep in touch

Best wishes

Beecy
