Picture Gallery

At last! Yes, there are pictures in the Picture Gallery now.

New work is almost always hung in the first part of this gallery.... Except this week when I forgot and put the pictures at the end of the page... sorry Newtonhill. If you would like to see some older pictures you'll have to visit the archives further down the page.

From this week's art workshop, with Tullos Primary School, we have some wonderful work... and again, unfotunately, we cannot include everybody's. However, this selection will give you an idea of just how much work has gone into these masterpieces. Well done everybody.
Cheryl's Hands First in line is Cheryl's... Amazing! Hands of Chris Next is Chris... again looking like some horrible disease... Excellent!
What can I say about James' picture? I think it says it all itself!
Brilliant!
James' hands Next is Kirk's... again... it is so simple... and very effective. Kirk's Mitts
And Lauren's The colours yellow and purple are really garish together... I love it! Lianne's main's (French!) Much more subtle colours in this one... very good!
This is one of my favourites... there is so much work in this one and I took a photocopy of it...so it also looks really great in black and white! Sarah's This one is stunning... the stark white and the yellow and red squares... Most excellent work Shaun Dude! ...and Shaun's
Stephen's hands Tiger, tiger burning bright... cool stripes Stephen. It reminds me of a tiger or a sun burnt zebra. Very good! ...and finally, Nadine's Finally we have Nadine's which is so delicate. It's really so subtle. Compare it to Cheryl's, which is so much more vivid. Excellent!

This week's addition to the gallery comes from Cornhill Primary School. This is, again, only a small selection of the huge amount of excellent wotk done by the pupils when they were here.
Not finished but what an amount of work! Amy has put an incredible amount of work into these hands, although you can't really see from this picture. Stunning hands in the clouds! This is a most incredible image, I'm sure you'll agree. This drawing is by the artist formerly known as Froggo!
Jason also managed to produce something really neat as you can see from the image to your right! Excellent work Jason! Lori has also put a huge amount of work into this drawing and I love the combination of colours. Excellent! Fabulous work Lori
Such vibrant colours Paul Last but not least, is an image by Paul. His drawing has a really vibrant feel about it. Well done! I'm sure you'll all agree that these images are really rather good. Well done to those artist we've shown and also to the others who are still working on theirs.
The texture drawings of hands, below, were done by the pupils of Middlefield Primary School. There were many more we could have included here... these are just a selection.
Diane's hand This is Diane's left hand. She has put an incredible amount of time and effort into it. It's really neat isn't it? Andrew's hands Andrew's also been hard at work producing this very fine effort. He has a really nice combination of colours here with the purples and blues. Well done Andrew.
Next we have Sarah Quinn's right hand and I must admit that this is one of my favourites. Actually her other hand... the black and white one was also rather good. She had covered the whole hand in musical notes. Sarah Quinn's mitten It is hard to appreciate, from this small image, just how much work went into Scott's B&W hand. It is incredibly time consuming, but well worth it in the end. Well done Scott. Scott's hands
Congratulations to the children of Middlefield who all produced really good work. Well done gang!

A tree picture The drawings in this part of the gallery are by the pupils of
Longside Primary School.

The next picture is actually winner of the folder competition.

Hilary... rather yellow And here we have Sharon on the right and Hilary on your left. Sharon lookiing festive
Thanks to the pupils of Longside for these... most excellent!

Here's a picture of the Leonid meteor shower. If someone would like to email me and remind who the artist is I would be very grateful. Leonid meteor shower
Chef Robbie This picture of the chef, Robbie, was done by Samantha from Auchterellon. He was really very pleased with it... so I thank you. It's really great when our staff are happy.

The drawings below were done by Angela and Fiona from Peterhead Central Primary School. Do you remember these members of Beecy's staff?

Mrs Liddell The first of Angela and Fiona's pictures we come to is of Mrs Liddell, who is in charge of the Centre at the moment.

Next we have Robbie, le Chef. Have you checked out Robbie's recipe page? If not, have a look now and get cooking! Robbie le Chef

Sharon This is Robbie's little helper, Sharon. Sometimes, if Robbie is off ill she becomes Chef Sharon.

Next is Mr Taylor. He only works at the Centre sometimes. Was he there when you were there? Mr Taylor

Hilary Last, but by no means least, comes Hilary. Do you remember breakfasts with Hilary?

Now as you know these are by no means the only people working for Beecy. These were the ones who were lucky enough to have their portraits done by Angela and Fiona.

Well done girls!

Now some pictures by the folks from Newtonhill Primary.

Clair's feather A beautiful scraperboard picture of a leaf by Claire.
This is Laura's leaf. Good isn't it? Laura's leaf
{short description of image} In Kylie's wonderful picture it is possible to see many things!
Steph's feather is really nicely done. Here we have a mixture of pencil and scraperboard. Very nice! {short description of image}
{short description of image} And here is a really wonderful picture of a twig from a Scot's Pine. This excellent image was drawn by Suzanne.

If your school is coming to Ballater this year... remember we are always looking for new art for the Gallery.
