Part of our partnership celebration in 1998 was with Maryvale Primary School. This coincided with their specific request to work towards one of the City’s targets of the Year of the Arts. Their theme for the week was everyone had something to offer as their contribution to artistic interpretation. The environment was explored and the children, wrote poems, undertook descriptive writing, worked in clay, and undertook screen printing. A major element of their work was a mural depicting the seasons around Bell Heath. This involved everyone in the group at some stage “putting the paint on the walls”
