Key Stage 4 Business and Information Studies:
| Year 10 | 3 Units of work covering: Personnel, Finance and Production Departments. |
| Year 11 | A unit of work covering Marketing. Compulsory unit of work. An external exam. |
All pupils have one taught ICT lesson each week, in order to develop ICT skills, they also use computers in most subject areas. During years 10/11 they can opt for Business Studies Education, where they follow the EDEXCEL 2400/2401 double certificate exam.

Joan has been teaching at
Bishop Barrington School for 21 years, and prior to teaching she was
the Personnel Assistant to the Marketing Manager for The National
Coal Board. Joan is the School Banker, and liaise with Midland Bank.
Since 1981, she has been involved with the Schools' foreign exchange
visit to Bad Oeynhausen in Germany
Joan enjoys walking, touring and reading and she also enjoys helping her son with his marketing business.

Mr. Bennett has taught at Bishop Barrington since September 2000 . He was previously employed in industry as a CNC machine programmer. Mr. Bennett obtained a first class B.Sc. (Hons) IT in Education from Sunderland University in June 2000. He enjoys reading, socialising, keeping fit and like all teachers in Bishop Barrington has a great enthusiasm for his subject. |
