There are 3 recorder groups in total. Beginners, middle and top. Our top group play in assemblies.
We start a new group every September so that if a child decides to learn, or restart, then they can join in then. The instructor is the Head Master, Mr. Sillett. Each recorder group plays a number of pieces at every Coffee Morning or Afternoon.
Lessons are voluntarily instructed, and take place during lunchtime breaks, and take about 20 - 30 minutes. Each group will have a lesson once a week.
Here are pictures of the groups.
There are only two groups for guitar a higher and beginners group. This is a picture of the Nathan and Dean of the higher group. Guitar is good fun and challenging.
Our lessons lasts for 25 to 30 minutes and we are taught by Mr. Coates, so are the beginners group. We play in coffee afternoons and some times school plays. At the moment the top group are working on third exams, while the beginners are almost up to their first exam.
There are 4 violin groups top, middle, beginners, and older beginners. Sometimes the violin groups play at our coffee mornings but always play at church at Christmas.
