Our Pre-school

Pre-school - In September 1999 we opened Bishop Ian Ramsey Pre-school under the leadership of Mrs Kath Bullock.

· for children aged 3-4 years

· located in the present playgroup room

· open 5 morning and 5 afternoon session per week

· staffed by trained supervisors

· to provide good quality education for all children

· following the "early learning goals"

· to be subjected to regular Ofsted inspections - last inspection Autumn 1999.

The major benefit of a pre-school here in Medomsley is that it is close to home and will generate a smooth transition of pre-school children into reception class when the time comes. This is such an exciting project, which has attracted a lot of support from parents. As there is so much interest we urge you, if you or a neighbour have any young children below the age of four, to put their name down on the register as soon as possible. Registration forms can be obtained from and returned to the school office, you will then be notified in writing if your child is being offered a place.
