Our Stained Glass Windows.

As part of the Millennium celebrations we have designed a stained glass window.

It has been installed in our school hall in the south facing windows for the light to shine through.

We went to Ramsey glass studio at Consett to see our Millenium stained glass window being made.  We also saw lots of other glass designs and we had a go at painting on the window.

Mr Ramsey showed us how to shape the glass when it had come out of the kiln.  He showed us how to make a hankerchief bowl.

Here are the finished windows which look beautiful.  The colours are amazing when the sun shines through.

On Thursday 23rd March 2000, Bishop Alan of Jarrow, came in to bless and dedicate our stained glass windows to the life of Jesus.

The Bishop blessed each window individually and told us what each window represented.

Some children read out their hopes and dreams for the future.

Dear Lord

We all have hopes and dreams, thoughts and ambitions that we would like to see in our lives.  Help us to love and care for one another.  help us to achieve the very best we can and care for the world in which we live for the rest of our lives.
