Equal Opportunities


All pupils have the right to equality of access to the school curriculum and activities regardless of age, ability, gender, race, nationality or culture


Aims:


  • To develop an equal opportunities ethos within the nursery

  • To ensure that all staff members are aware of the importance of a non-sexist, non-discriminatory policy

  • To foster an awareness of this in the children through consistent example

  • To allow all children the scope to progress developmentally, while at the same time having regard to their welfare, safety and security.                                                                                                   To foster a sense of achievement and develop positive self esteem through constant praise and encouragement

  • To ensure children are accepted and valued for who they are

  • To provide resources which will cover the wide range of interests and abilities within the nursery as well as those that acknowledge cultural and physical
