Nursery Class Policy

Delivering Children and Collecting Children from Nursery

  • The responsibility for delivery to and collection from nursery belongs with the parent/care giver who must ensure that a responsible adult known to the child delivers and/or collects.

  • The school must be made aware of these persons.  If there is a departure from normal arrangements the school must be notified

  • As an additional security precaution the parent/care giver will be issued with a PIN which will be asked for if an adult not well known to the teacher collects the child.   Parents/care givers are asked only to give this PIN to a responsible adult who will collect the child from nursery.

  • If doubt still exists every effort will be made to contact the parent/care giver or emergency contact for verification of the person's authority to collect the child.
