Nursery Class Policy

Healthy Eating in Nursery

It is our policy in Bonnybridge nursery to ensure that daily snacks for the children consist of fresh healthy products.  Fruit, milk and  bottled water are available each day, and foods such as yoghurt, breadsticks, crackers/cheese, are regularly offered.  Only on occasions do we offer sweet items such as 'happy faces' or 'party rings', flavoured crisps and 'fizzy' juice.

We also invite the dental hygienist each year to talk to children about healthy eating and looking after teeth, and the nursery children will spend a few days working on this very worthwhile health topic.

All opportunities that arise are used to promote good eating habits.
