The setting

Tropical
Experience the high temperature, humidity and lush tangle of vegetation including a mass of economic plants such as rice and rubber.


Sub-tropical

A collection of palms, tree ferns, carnivorous plants and cycads (ancient coniferous trees which dominated the earth in the age which knew  the dinosaurs.


Mediterranean

Planted with a wide range of citrus plants (eg. orange, lemon and lime) along with other plants associated with this climate such as olive, pomegranate and carob.


Desert

A rocky, dry landscape with cacti and other succulents from around the world.


Outside

Fifteen acres of grounds featuring:

  • habitats such as woodland and  alpine


  • theme gardens such as Japanese and conservation


  • historical gardens; Roman, Medieval and Tudor


  • Victorian buildings


  • orienteering courses
