The Aims of the School

	to take full account of each girl’s capabilities and interests
	to give each girl a sound moral and intellectual foundation for life
	to encourage a sense of responsibility and confidence, tempered with a deep consideration for others
	to offer the potential to complete all eleven years of compulsory schooling within one organisation creating a secure and stable atmosphere

Facilities

The school comprises two sites, the Junior School and the Senior School.

Junior School - 82 Palmerston Road, Buckhurst Hill

A pleasant late Victorian house with infant classes on the ground floor and junior rooms on the first floor. Each classroom has computer facilities which are used to link into topic work and National Curriculum areas. There are separate Art and Music rooms and a new hall. The tree-lined site also has plenty of playing space outside.

Senior School - 130 High Road, Buckhurst Hill

An extended mid Victorian House built by Dr. Barnardo this site has subject based teaching rooms. These are well supported by an Art room, Careers room, Computer room with Internet access, Studio for Music and Drama, Library and Hall/Gymnasium. A purpose built block houses two Science Laboratories. Outside the wooded grounds provide a restful recreation area and a Netball/Tennis court.
