Bridgwater is a small town on the coast of Somerset, UK, roughly half way between Weston-Super-Mare and Taunton. The two main employers in the town are Nuclear Electric (Hinkley Point Power Station) and industries related to producing cellophane.
Anyone who has driven past Bridgwater on the M5 motorway will know that the town is famous for a certain smell- come here on a damp day and find out!
The town's most famous attraction is the annual carnival, held on the nearest Thursday to November 5th. Floats known as carts tow huge generators to power the mega watts of lights they carry. The light is so bright it can be easily seen from outer space (though I haven't met anyone to confirm this). The space below is reserved for a photo of the 1997 carnival winners
